Safari Highlights
Detailed Itinerary
Nairobi to Hell’s Gate & Lake Naivasha
After an early morning pick-up from your hotel or airport in Nairobi, you will drive to the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Hell’s Gate National Park. Unlike other parks, you can explore this area on foot or by bicycle (rented locally). Your guide will lead you through the park to spot herds of buffalo, zebras, elands, and gazelles against the backdrop of towering cliffs. You will also visit the spectacular Hell’s Gate Gorge. After lunch at your lodge (e.g., Lake Naivasha Country Club or Crater Lake Camp), you will head out for a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Spot hippos wallowing in the water and enjoy the sunset before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Crescent Island & Return to Nairobi
Start the day with a hearty breakfast overlooking the lake. You will then take a short boat ride to Crescent Island, a private sanctuary accessible only by boat. Here, you will enjoy a guided walking safari amongst giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras with no predators to worry about—a photographer’s dream. After the walk, return to the mainland for lunch at your lodge or a restaurant in Naivasha town. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon to mark the end of your short but adventure-filled safari.
