3 Days – Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari
Overview
This three day safari offers a life changing encounter with endangered mountain gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Operating from Kigali, Rwanda, this short adventure takes you across the border into Uganda’s misty rainforests. With Vanta Tour and Safaris, you will spend a precious hour with a gorilla family, observing these gentle giants from meters away.

Detailed Itinerary
Kigali to Bwindi/Mgahinga National Park
Pick up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel. Drive through Rwanda's beautiful hills to the Cyanika or Katuna border. Cross into Uganda and continue to your lodge near the gorilla park. Check in, rest, and attend a pre trekking briefing. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Gorilla Trekking Experience
Early breakfast, then report to the park headquarters for registration and briefing. You will be assigned to a gorilla family based on your fitness level. Enter the forest with your ranger and trackers, trekking for one to six hours depending on gorilla movement. Once located, you will spend one magical hour with the gorillas watching them feed, play, and interact. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Bwindi to Kigali – Departure
Breakfast at your lodge. Optional golden monkey trekking or Batwa village visit (extra fee). Drive back to the Rwanda border, complete formalities, and continue to Kigali. Arrive in the early afternoon. Drop off at Kigali International Airport or your hotel.

- One gorilla trekking permit per person (eight hundred US dollars)
