Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park
After an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, you will drive southwest to Lake Mburo National Park (approximately 3–4 hours). The journey takes you through the lush countryside and includes a stop at the Equator Monument for photos and a water experiment. Upon arrival at the park, you will enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, spotting zebras, impalas, and warthogs along the way. After a delicious lunch, you will embark on an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. This trip offers fantastic views of hippos and crocodiles, as well as a variety of waterbirds. Return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful night under the stars.
Walking Safari & Return to Kampala
Start the day with an early morning guided walking safari. Lake Mburo is one of the few parks where you can explore the wilderness on foot, accompanied by an armed ranger. You will track animals like giraffes and zebras up close and learn about tracking techniques and bush survival. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and a final game drive as you exit the park. You will drive back to Kampala, arriving in the early afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
