Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
After an early morning pick-up from your hotel or airport, you will drive down the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will head straight to your lodge for check-in and a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in this park famous for its flocks of pink flamingos and its sanctuary for both Black and White Rhinos. You will also look for the park's famous tree-climbing lions. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a mid-range lodge (e.g., Lake Nakuru Lodge, Sarova Lion Hill, or Flamingo Hill Tented Camp).
Day 2: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you will depart for the nearby freshwater lake, Naivasha. The drive is short and scenic. Upon arrival, you will check in to your comfortable lodge, which may offer views of the lake or the sprawling gardens. After lunch, you will take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see hippos and various bird species, followed by a walking safari on Crescent Island where you can walk among giraffes and zebras. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a mid-range lodge.
Naivasha to Nairobi
You can start the day with an optional visit to Hell’s Gate National Park (at an extra cost) for cycling or a walk through the gorges, or simply enjoy a leisurely breakfast and the lodge facilities, such as the swimming pool. Afterward, you will begin your journey back to Nairobi. You will stop for lunch en route at a restaurant overlooking the Rift Valley. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
