Nairobi to Lake Nakuru
After early morning pick-up from your hotel, you will drive down the escarpment into the Great Rift Valley, stopping for stunning views along the way. You will head directly into Lake Nakuru National Park for a mid-day game drive. The park is famous for its alkaline lake frequented by flamingos and its sanctuary for both Black and White Rhinos. You will enjoy lunch at a budget lodge or camp inside the park, followed by an afternoon game drive searching for leopards, lions, and buffalos. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a budget camp or lodge.
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you will depart for the nearby Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake paradise. Upon arrival, you will check in to your camp and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you will take a boat ride on the lake, getting close to hippos and various bird species, including the African Fish Eagle. After the boat ride, you will visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari where you can walk freely among giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a budget camp or lodge.
Naivasha to Nairobi
You can start the day with an optional visit to Hell’s Gate National Park (at an extra cost), famous for its geothermal steam jets and where you can cycle or walk among wildlife. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxed breakfast and a nature walk around your camp. Afterward, you will begin your journey back to Nairobi. You will stop for lunch en route and arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
